The top colors can range from black gray, white, brown purple, green, orange, red cream and beige with grayish to white outer wavy edges. The underside is porous with no gills and varies from white to gray. It is really a beautiful mushroom.
The taste of Turkey Tail is mild, and has a "mushroomy" (earthy) aroma.
