- 90,000 H.U. Omit cayenne from recipes that will be frozen. The flavor will be intense, instead, once the recipe is unthawed and cooked, then add the Cayenne. Cayenne is available in several Heat Units (H.U.) 90,000 H.U. is a middle range heat.
As a side note, one of my friends owns an automated car wash place. Her feet would get terrible cold due to all the water soaking in her boots. Did not matter what type of socks she wears, water proof boots, or even rubber boots, her feet would freeze. As a joke I told her to put cayenne in her boots and see if that would help. Well it did, to my surprise. She sprinkles the cayenne in her boots, wears wool socks, and water proofs her boots once a week. No more cold feet. That is one more use of Cayenne Pepper.
