Omit cayenne from recipes that will be frozen.  The flavor will be intense, instead, once the recipe is defrosted and cooked, then add the Cayenne. Cayenne is available in several Heat Units (H.U.)   90,000 H.U. is a middle range heat.

This plant even benefits the garden.
How to make environmentally friendly pest control

This natural spray can be used to control a variety of garden pests without harming beneficial insects or the environment. One way to create an
entirely organic spray for managing garden pests involves preparing a mixture made up of a medium-sized garlic bulb and an onion. To this mixture is added one tsp. of ground cayenne pepper, which is then steeped in 1 quart of warm water for a minimum of four hours.  Once the pest control as matured, strain and transferred into a spray bottle, which is labeled PEST CONTROL SPRAY.  For the purpose of maximizing adhesion, it’s recommended that 1 tsp. of dish soap be further mixed into the solution. Utilizing this all-natural spray helps eliminate common types of pests in gardens while not harming helpful bugs, nor damaging surrounding eco-systems by applying dangerous chemicals or poisons. Use liquid dishwashing soap to enhance the efficacy of pest control. Apply it on the lower surfaces of leaves and stems where insects tend to congregate.

Spray throughout the garden, and your tomatoes eating squirrels will be gone, and the tomatoes with grow juicy and large. This will also work for keeping mice out of the garden.  A superb pest  deterrent.

As a side note, one of my friends owns an automated car wash place.  Her feet would get terrible cold due to all the water soaking in her boots.  Did not matter what type of socks she wears, water proof boots, or even rubber boots, her feet would freeze.    As a joke I told her to put cayenne in her boots and see if that would help.   Well it did, to my surprise.   She sprinkles the cayenne in her boots, wears wool socks, and water proofs her boots once a week.   No more cold feet.   I guess chalk  it up to one more use of Cayenne Pepper.
