About Cloves

Cloves have been used for centuries in traditional Chinese medicine and has a wide range of beneficial properties. It has therapeutic benefits for several medical conditions.  

Though Pomander balls have been around for years, this was completely new to me, and I found it a great crafting project. To make a pomander ball out of an orange, by sticking bulk Cloves into the orange's skin. The sweet and spicy smell helps us celebrate the winter holidays.  I have them hung up in the bathroom, laundry room, and even near the coat room.   What a wonderful aroma.

Cloves are best known during the cold winter holidays, when the cloves are added to pies, cakes, sauces,  cranberries, pickling brines, puddings, mincemeat, mulling spices and meats.
