Rehmannia Root, Raw; meaning meaning it has not been processed in wine or soy products. If you want the "Prepared" Rehmannia root (prepared in wine), do a search for the Shu Di Huang or Prepared Rehmannia. We have multiple forms and brands available.
The botanical name is Rehmannia Glutinosa; Radix. The Pin Yin name is Sheng Di Huang. The pieces are fairly evenly sliced slabs, dry, and nearly black. The root pieces have a size and texture very similar to bite sized beef jerky. The pieces are approximately 1 to 3 inches long.
Rehmannia Root is one of the most popular tonic herbs in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), where it has been used for thousands of years. Listed as one of the fifty most important Chinese herbs. This herb is known to clear heat and cool the blood. It nourishes yin and generates fluids. It's range of folk uses and clinical applications in modern Chinese medicine are extensive.
