How to Use Yarrow Flowers

The Yarrow Flowers are most commonly used a tea.  This is very easy to do, and clean up is a breeze.   Simply add the Yarrow Flowers to a re-usable muslin bag, and place into a cup.  Add the hot water to the cup and cover.  Covering the cup or mug helps to keep in the volatile oils.  Once the tea has steeped the desired time, which is usually 3 to 7 minutes.  Remove the muslin bag, and drink when cooled to the desired temperature. As for clean up just empty the muslin bag into the compost bin, and rinse. When using the powder form of Yarrow Flowers in bulk, a tea can still be made, simply put into three or four coffee filters, as the powder is very fine.  This will keep the powder in the muslin bags, and not create the "mud" in the bottom of the cup. Yarrow flowers are often used in poultices, decoctions, extracts, and teas.
