Additional Information About Eucommia Bark
In traditional Chinese herbalism, Eucommia ulmoides was revered as a balancing and regulating longevity herb, believed to enhance the vital energies and increase the essence, or Ching. The complementary herbs in this formula add to its health-supporting properties, and create a delicious tea, good to drink everyday. It was revered as a regulating longevity her.
Ecuommia bark is the bark of the tree. It is "sliced" off the tree in such a fashion that the tree is not killed. The final product looks like sheets of bark, with distinctive tread. The bark can be sliced several ways, but most common is thick or thin. The thin form of Du Zhong is very delicate and will pull apart in your hands. The thick form, must be torn apart with a great deal of effort. For this form, the Eucommia bark is ground into a fine powder. Nothing else has been added nor removed. It is just the bark of the Eucommia. We do offer certificate of analysis upon request.
