Review Forms and Sizes of Reishi Mushroom / Ling Zhi Below

Reishi Mushrooms are a beautiful auburn/ brown color, but also can have a light cream colored edge.  Sizes vary from just a few inches (2 inches) all the way up to the size of a dinner plate (9 inches).   The Ling Zhi are shiny, as though an artificial gloss has been put on them, but this is natural. Western mycologists call Reishi Mushrooms varnish conks, due to the high shine.  Other Reishi mushroom, though may have a light coating of brown.

Medicinal Mushroom but especially Reishi mushroom have a lot to bring to the table. The reishi mushroom's active constituents are:

On a personal note, when my dog was very sick, and nothing was working, I started giving her Reishi Mushrooms in powder form, along with chlorella, burdock, and alfalfa.   Within about 3 weeks she was feeling much better.  I believe part of the reason is because the mushrooms have an amazing source for Vitamins B2, B3 and B5.
