Reishi Mushroom Tea (Ling Zhi)

Reishi Mushroom Tea (Ling Zhi) – Calm & Immune Support

Ingredients:

  • 5–8 grams dried Reishi mushroom slices (about 4–6 slices)

  • 3 cups water

  • Optional: 2–3 slices of fresh ginger or 1–2 dried Da Zao (Chinese red dates) for added flavor and nourishment

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the Reishi slices quickly under cool water to remove any dust.

  2. Combine Reishi (and optional ginger or Da Zao) with water in a small pot.

  3. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat to low.

  4. Simmer uncovered for 30–45 minutes, allowing the water to reduce slightly.

  5. Strain into a mug and enjoy warm.

Serving Suggestion:

  • Drink 1 cup daily, preferably in the evening for relaxation.

  • The tea has a naturally earthy, slightly bitter flavor—add a touch of honey if desired.

Traditionally used in TCM to support calmness, restful sleep, and healthy immune function.
