Mushroom Extract Ingredients Explained: Is Myceliated Rice a Filler or Functional Part of the Product?
One of the most common questions customers ask is simple—but important: “Am I getting pure mushroom, or is this filled with something else?”
It’s a fair question. Many mushroom products on the market don’t clearly explain what’s inside, how they’re grown, or what role each ingredient actually plays. That lack of transparency leads to confusion—and sometimes mistrust.
Here’s the truth.
Our mushroom powders are made from a combination of activated mycelium and fruiting body, grown on organic brown rice. This growing medium is not added as a cheap filler—it is part of the natural cultivation process. As the mycelium grows, it consumes and transforms the rice, creating a fully integrated material rather than an added ingredient.
So… Is It a Filler?
No—when used correctly, it is not a filler.
In properly cultivated products:
- the rice is consumed and transformed by the mycelium
- it becomes part of the final material
- it is not simply “added in” to dilute the product
The key difference is how the product is grown and processed, not just what is listed on the label.
