How to Make an Eye Wash with Stephania Root Sliced

Simple Steps in making an eye wash, which is talked about in Healing Lyme Disease by S. Buhner

Place 16 oz. of water into a 2 quart pot and bring to a boil. It is best to use chlorine free water.

Once the water is at a full boil add the Stephania root to the water (2 ounces - about two pieces the size of a 50 cent piece). Reduce heat to medium heat. Boil for 20 - 40 minutes or until the volume of water has reduced by half. Taking care to watch the pot to insure it does not boil dry.

Separate the liquid from the solid by straining through the cheese cloth, into the sterilized jar, with a label and the date which the decoction was made.

May be used as a tea to drink. Drink when it was cool enough, not to burn your tongue. If making an eye wash, just one more step.

Let cool and dip clean cotton balls into the tea and place on eyes for 10 to 30 seconds. Use a clean cotton ball for each eye.

You will want to keep your eyes shut at first if you are using this as an eyewash. This is to test a small amount at a time to reach tolerance and to be sure your eyes do not have a bad reaction.

Seal the jar tightly and don't forget the label stating the date, the ingredients, and what you are wanting to use this for. For this, it would state:

Eye Wash, Water and Stephania root. Put into refrigerator. Stays fresh for 3 days.

This herbal eye wash can be used up to 4 times a day.
