Citrus Facial Splash

Citrus Facial Brightener and Toner  citrus face splash, herbal face rinse

A great way to perk yourself up in the morning and feel absolutely beautiful is to use a refreshing citrus toner.  Looking at the ingredients in commercial products can be scary to say the least.  The following are two natural toners you can make at home.  Both contain witch hazel that tightens the pores in your skin and helps to reduce inflammation.  The first recipe contains lemon essential oils that you are sure to find invigorating and uplifting.  The second recipe uses lemon juice.  Lemon juice is also refreshing and helps to reduce blemishes and lightens skin.

Recipe #1

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces Witch Hazel
  • 2 Tablespoons Orange Flower Water
  • Lemon Essential Oil

Other Materials Needed

  • Measuring cup
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Bottle with secure stopper or lid

Steps

  1. Measure the witch hazel into a measuring cup and pour into a dry, clean glass bottle.
  2. Add the orange flower water to the bottle.
  3. Carefully add 5 drops of the lemon essential oil to the bottle.
  4. Put the cork or lid securely on the bottle and gently shake to bottle until the ingredients are blended.  You may want to keep your finger on the lid or cork while you are shaking the bottle.  Store the splash in the refrigerator.
  5. To use, first cleanse your face, then apply with a cotton ball or pour a small amount in your hand and splash on your face.
