Green Tea Health Benefits & Information

Green tea is made from the leaves of the camellia sinensis plant, making it a true tea.  Unlike black and oolong teas, green tea is not oxidized during production.  This produces a tea that is light green in color with a mild slightly sweet vegetal or grassy flavor.  Green tea does contain caffeine, approximately 20 - 40 mg per 8 oz. cup.  It is packed with antioxidants, including polyphenols, to benefit cardiovascular health and metabolism. Green tea offers a variety of health benefits.
